How to run multiple Roblox accounts on one PC

This is how to run multiple Roblox accounts on one computer, including a Roblox alt on the same PC. If you only wanted a definition of “multi instance,” use the term explainer instead.

What you need

  • Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • Desktop Roblox Player from roblox.com.
  • At least two accounts you control. Do not use this with accounts you do not own.
  • 16 GB RAM is a realistic floor for two windows. 8 GB often stutters. Numbers: requirements.
  • The helper from the download page on this site — not from ads or Discord.

Steps with MultiRoblox

  1. Install Roblox Player and sign in once so Windows can launch it from the browser or the app.
  2. Install MultiRoblox from this site. Turn multi-instance on before you spam-click Play.
  3. Start the first Roblox window and finish login on the first account.
  4. Start Roblox again. A second window should appear. Sign in on the second account there.
  5. Mute and lower graphics on the window you are not steering. Two full-quality clients will fight for the GPU.

If nothing happens on the second launch, close every Roblox process in Task Manager and start over. More cases: troubleshooting.

If you only need two windows

Install Roblox from the Microsoft Store and also install desktop Player from the website. Those packages often run at the same time because they are different apps. That path uses no unofficial helper. Use it when two is enough. Comparison: Store + Player.

Use MultiRoblox when you want a third desktop Player, or both sessions as Player rather than mixing Store and desktop.

Playing both sessions at once

Each window is a full client: audio, network, and input. Put focus on one, mute the other, and do not expect a single keyboard to steer two avatars well. For capture, OBS can add two game sources if both processes exist — that is a creator workflow, not a cheat.

Acceptable vs not

Reasonable: testing your own experience, moving items between accounts you own, recording a tutorial. Not reasonable: bot farms, ban evasion, or stacking clones to grief a server. Opening a second window does not change Roblox Terms of Use or an experience’s rules.

Updates can break it

Roblox patches the desktop Player often. Unofficial helpers can stop working the same day. Keep Store + Player as a two-window fallback and update MultiRoblox only from this site.
